 STAR ("Standing for Truth About Radiation") is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting public health and safety from nuclear hazards. Our board and staff consist of the following individuals: Board of Directors Peter Cook, Chairman of the Board David Friedson, Founding Chair Dr. Helen Caldicott, Founding President Alice Slater Christie Brinkley Janet Lehr John White Pam Slater Spalding Gray Kathie Russo Barbara Layton Jay Gould Senior Staff Robert Alvarez, Program Director Former Senior Policy Advisor to the U.S. Secretary of Energy, and former Congressional investigator and senior staff member for the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs. Scott Cullen, Executive Director and Counsel Juris Doctor from the Vermont Law School and an admitted member of the New York State and Washington, D.C Bar, who specializes in environmental law. |
